Fine Motor Skills

Some of our students' fine motor skills slow them down when they write.  Our learning specialist suggested we try using these stamps with these students to see if it helps.  This student was able to finish "I wd to the store" during the writing workshop time, but I was with him the whole time.  We'll see what happens when he works on his own.  The specialist also suggested putting the stamps on everyone's table so not to isolate anyone...  Any other fine motor ideas for in the classroom?

If you are using the Scott Foresman reading curriculum this site has some great resources that go along with each unit.

Word Family Student Books

We used these booklets in our word family literacy center last week. There are two different levels for each word family so it is easy to differentiate with. There is also a word family activity on the last page that they can do to to read the book.
